The range, room by room
Blinds and window coverings in Maitland
We carry the full range, rollers, romans, venetians, verticals, curtains, honeycomb and outdoor. But we don't sell it as a catalogue. We start from the job a room's windows have to do, and pick the covering that does it. Here's how that plays out room by room.

Block out
Bedrooms, nurseries & media rooms
The rooms that need to go genuinely dark, for a baby's daytime sleep, for shift workers, for watching something on a bright morning. A blockout fabric on a close-fitting roller does most of this well; a fully-lined roman or blockout curtain does it with more softness.
- Blockout roller blinds, fitted close to the reveal to cut the light gap
- Blockout or blackout-lined roman blinds and curtains for a softer look
- Dual "day and night" rollers, a blockout and a light-filter on one bracket
In kids' rooms we'll steer you to cordless or motorised control, so there's nothing in reach.

Privacy
Bathrooms & street-facing fronts
On small new-estate lots the neighbours and the street sit close. Bathrooms, ensuites and any room facing the road want privacy that still lets some light in during the day. Layering a sheer with a blockout gives you a soft daytime look and full cover at night.
- Sheer plus blockout, layered, for day light and night privacy
- Aluminium venetians you can tilt for light without a clear line of sight
- Privacy roller fabrics that glow with light but can't be seen through

Light & view
Open-plan living
The living zone is where you actually want the light and the view, just not the glare on the TV or the heat by lunchtime. Light-filter rollers and sheers soften the sun while keeping the outlook. A screen fabric holds the view and knocks back the heat at once.
- Light-filter roller blinds, softening the sun but keeping the room bright
- Sheer curtains for movement and a gentle daytime privacy
- Sunscreen fabrics that hold the outward view and cut heat and UV

Heat
The west sun & the rooms that bake
Maitland summers run warm and the afternoon sun finds the rear and western windows. Where a room is hard to keep cool, a honeycomb (cellular) blind traps a layer of air against the glass for insulation, and outdoor blinds stop the heat before it ever reaches the window.
- Honeycomb / cellular blinds, an insulating air pocket at the glass
- Outdoor and alfresco blinds to shade the glass from outside
- Sunscreen roller fabrics rated to cut a good share of the heat and UV

The big glass out the back
Sliding doors & stacker walls
The wide rear slider is the window a lot of coverings struggle with. Verticals and panel glides slide right out of the doorway so you can still walk through, and a single wide roller keeps it simple where the opening allows.
- Vertical blinds that draw fully clear of the doorway
- Panel glides, wide flat panels that stack to one side
- A single wide roller where the opening suits it

Prefer the clean lines of plantation shutters somewhere? We can talk that through too, they're a covering, not a rival. But blinds and soft furnishings are what we fit out whole homes with.
